Mallorca: An island full of variety

Mallorca is a beautiful and incredibly diverse island. We immersed ourselves in the culinary world, felt the warm hospitality of the people – and occasionally got caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You will discover so many different regions scattered across the island: lush greenery in the mountains, vast dry plains, wild rocky coasts and, of course, the glittering sea and the island’s beaches. This diversity is simply impressive. Mallorca is a place that sparkles with joie de vivre and never ceases to inspire.

Palma: charm and Mediterranean lightness

Palma de Mallorca, with its beautiful old alleyways, stone walls, winding corners and hidden courtyards – this city exudes so much charm and Mediterranean lightness and offers countless exciting spots for unique photos. There I had the pleasure of photographing my mentor – a visionary, full of power and heart, who fills every room (and every alley in Palma) with her presence. We then travelled across the island to a beautiful sunset spot behind the mountains. Between pine trees and rocks, we had a marvellous view of the sun slowly sinking into the sea on the horizon – a perfect end to an intense day of shooting.

Island photos: Wishes come true

A shoot on a cliff with a view of the sea and sunrise on the horizon – a very special wish. As I wasn’t very familiar with the island beforehand, we went on a virtual journey of discovery with Google Street View and looked at every interesting spot on Mallorca. After some time, we finally found the perfect location – and a suitable beach nearby, which was not only in perfect light in the early hours of the morning, but also deserted. It was an unforgettable moment to take photos there with two wonderful people and fulfil their great photo wishes while the sun slowly rose over the sea and bathed the world in golden light.

We had another photo shoot with them in a centuries-old finca with beautiful gardens, an old manor house typical of Mallorca with a large courtyard and many enchanted corners. A small, heavy thunderstorm even passed by briefly, which gave the photos an additional special atmosphere. The combination of traditional architecture, lush nature and this special light was simply perfect for even more magical photos of Mallorca.

Mallorca Life: Finca & Friends

Then there was this small private finca that really offers everything you could wish for. We spent a week there with lovely people – a very intense and exciting time that was not only full of wonderful encounters, but also ingenious and fun photo shoots. Between olive trees, natural stone walls and this typical Mallorcan flair, we conjured up images that radiate a very special warmth. People and places like this make it easy to be creative and enjoy life to the full at the same time. I like Mallorca.
